Recent Works…

Goa Mural: The year began with a trip to Palolem Beach in South Goa, where I created a detailed mural for a restaurant called Tropical Taste. This complex piece is full of symbolism and is now available as both original artwork and prints in my new online shop.

Little Robot Stories: After years of self-publishing my Little Robot Stories series, I'm thrilled to announce that the first book, "There was a little robot," is now being professionally published. These books were a labor of love created during a period of immense grief. They provided me with a voice and a way to connect emotionally with my work without having to be specific. Look out for the first book in this series, coming soon!

Railway 200: I was invited to participate in "Railway 200," a celebration of 200 years of rail travel. This collaboration has led to a new collection of London travel card map products, which will be available online and at pop-up events at major stations like Waterloo and Battersea.

New Artwork & Collaborations: In addition to the Goa mural, I've been busy with new commissions and creating new art pieces like the Chopper Bike and Locomotive Number 1. I also have some exciting collaborations on the horizon with DJs and producers and an upcoming article in Time Out magazine that will highlight my work!

I…. VICKY TYLER STEANE…. hereby promise to create actually affordable art!”

The art world makes no sense to me...
Artists are either... completely undervalued… they do not sell, cannot sell, or expected to work for free and to give artwork away. In hwat other skill or trade is this expected?

And yet on the other side of the spectrum….Artwork is completely overpriced and over-rated and sold at a price that is beyond the average person to even consider paying even for a car!

How and why is this happening?!
Where is the middle ground?!!
The art world needs rebalancing!

FYI... I am considered an 'outsider artist' as I didn't go to art school... I am therefore not only, not welcome at the average gallery ..but not even considered. This is standard practice.

Did u know 98% of art that is bought at art auction is not even seen by the buyer?! ...what the artwork is...is irrelevant.. it is an investment and goes into storage.

This is a very sad state of affairs as it leaves the average artist without sales and the average person with cheap factory prints on their walls.
